For the small change you keep turning over
Every Which WayFloat one small what-if down every way it could go.
Type a what-if and how things stand. The page draws it as a river that splits into five channels on the way to the sea, and floats paper boats down them. One run writes each channel - what happens, the first sign you would notice, one small thing to do now - and says whether to just try it, try a small version first, or think it through first.

The five channels
Each channel is as wide as its chance: likely, could happen, or a long shot. Set them yourself, or let a run set them.
3 Follow every channel metered
One run writes each channel from what you typed: what happens, the first sign you would notice, and one small thing to do now. It sets each chance by fixed tests, and the page checks the verdict against them.

How it works
The river always splits five ways: as expected, better than planned, worse than planned, out of the blue, and back where you were. A likely channel is three times as wide as a long shot, and one that could happen is twice as wide. Each boat picks a channel by those widths, from a fixed seed, so the same river floats the same fleet.
The verdict follows the channels: think it through first when the worse channel could happen and the better one is a long shot; just try it when the worse channel is a long shot; otherwise, try a small version first. The page works this out itself and flags a reply that disagrees, or quotes a number you did not type.
These are guesses from what you typed, not predictions. For anything about health, money, children, the law or work, it is not professional advice - check with someone qualified; the page adds that line to the reading. A what-if about hurting yourself or someone else, or about stopping or changing a medicine, is not written up: the page points you to a helpline or to whoever prescribed it.
Saved what-ifs show the day to check back, when the look-ahead ends; the check-back reminder puts that day in your calendar so you can see which channel it went down.
